Grade A Jade. Certified. Always.
TEASES sources exclusively Grade A natural jadeite — the highest classification in the trade. Grade A means the stone is untreated and unenhanced by any polymer or chemical process.
Every jade piece ships with an independent gemological certificate confirming the stone's grade and treatment status. Please retain this certificate for your records and for insurance purposes.
We work with verified suppliers who have supplied fine jadeite to luxury houses for over two decades. No exceptions on grade.
Solid 14K & 18K Gold. No Plating.
Every TEASES piece is cast or fabricated in solid 14K or 18K gold. We do not use gold-fill, gold-plated, or vermeil finishes — materials that wear through with regular use within months.
Solid gold is an investment material. It holds its value. It can be repaired. It can be passed down. Every piece is hallmarked — 14K or 18K stamped directly into the metal — as required by Canadian fine jewelry standards.
When a TEASES piece is described as 18K, it contains 75% pure gold by weight.
Akoya Pearls. Sourced from Japan.
TEASES Akoya pearls are sourced from Japan — the origin of the modern cultured pearl industry. Akoya pearls are assessed on five criteria: luster, surface quality, shape, color, and size.
Luster — the depth of light reflected from within the pearl — is the most critical quality indicator and the hardest to find consistently. We select only the top two quality tiers, assessed piece by piece at source.
Low-grade pearls have visible surface pitting and thin nacre. Ours do not.
Certified Diamonds. No Ambiguity.
All diamonds used in TEASES pieces carry independent gemological certification — GIA, IGI, or equivalent. Certificate details are available on request for any diamond piece.
We offer both natural and lab-grown diamonds depending on the piece. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically and physically identical to mined stones — the difference is origin and price. We note clearly on every product listing which type is used.

Does the lifetime guarantee cover tarnishing?
TEASES pieces are made from solid 14K or 18K gold — solid gold does not tarnish. If you notice surface discoloration, contact us. In most cases it is surface residue, which our complimentary cleaning service will resolve at no charge.
How do I know my jade is genuinely Grade A?
Every TEASES jade piece ships with an independent gemological certificate confirming Grade A natural jadeite. The certificate explicitly states the treatment status. If your piece arrived without a certificate, contact us immediately — we will resolve it.
Can I get a piece repaired outside the guarantee?
Yes. Contact salesupport@teases.ca with a photo and description of the issue. We assess repairs case by case. Charges vary depending on the work required. Solid gold can always be repaired — one of its key advantages over plated jewelry.
What is the difference between 14K and 18K gold?
14K gold contains 58.3% pure gold and is more durable — preferred for daily wear pieces. 18K contains 75% pure gold, is richer in colour and slightly softer — preferred for statement and special occasion pieces. TEASES specifies the karat on every product listing.
I received a TEASES piece as a gift. Am I covered?
Yes. Gifts are fully covered under our guarantee. Ask the purchaser to include the order number in the gift packaging. If it wasn't included, contact us — we'll do our best to locate the original order and honor the guarantee.
How do I start a return or warranty claim?
Email salesupport@teases.ca with your order number and a photo of the issue (for warranty) or the item (for returns). Our team responds within 2 business days and will provide next steps and a prepaid label where applicable.
Where is TEASES jewelry made?
TEASES is founded and headquartered in Kitsilano, Vancouver, BC. Our pieces are manufactured by specialist artisan workshops selected based on the technique required — jade setting, diamond mounting, and enamel work each require different craft expertise.
What is natural vs. lab-grown diamond in TEASES pieces?
